Robert P. Shepard

 

Robert is a shareholder of the Firm, concentrating his practice in business law, real estate, banking, general corporate matters, construction law, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, and commercial litigation.  Mr. Shepard obtained a B.B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1980, and his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1983.  Mr. Shepard currently serves as an at-large councilman on the Arlington City Council. He is an active member of several community organizations, including being past Chairman of the Business Development Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past Co-Chairman of the Economic Development Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Executive Committee of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Board of Directors of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, current member of the Arlington Chamber Foundation Board of Directors, current member of the Executive Council of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, past member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Corporate Leadership Council, past Chairman of the Mid-Cities Entrepreneurship Council, past Chairman of the City of Arlington Planning and Zoning Commission, past member of the City of Arlington 1999 Citizens Bond Election Committee, a past member of City of Arlington Subdivision Rewrite Committee, a member of the Central Sector Planning Committee for the City of Arlington, past member of the Board of Directors of Downtown Arlington, Inc., past President of Downtown Arlington, Inc., current Chairman of the Board of Arlington Towne Center Foundation, Inc., a member of the Rotary Club of Arlington, Texas, and is frequently involved in charitable fund raising efforts.  Mr. Shepard is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Arlington Bar Association, and the Business Law and Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law Sections of the State Bar of Texas.  Mr. Shepard is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
